I decided to get out and about around the yard and take a few pics of the few flowers that I have right now. Some are before the storms, some are today. These beautiful roses that my Grandma Couch started from a cutting. Grandma is long gone, but her roses still live.
She would take a cutting, put into the ground and cover it with a quart mason jar. I believe she did this in the spring. She would not remove the jar for a year. So the next spring, she would have a small rose bush.
She started several for me. Both are pink, but this is the one blooming now. The other is darker pink. My "honey" calls them cemetery roses. The one that is not blooming yet is a Seven Sisters.
I also have these yellow lillies next to my blue glass gazing ball.
And these gorgeous red geraniums. Even tho' it's red I have it. Being a orange blooded Oklahoma State fan, we don't do red very well, but I could not resist the bright blue pot it is in.
There has been a pretty little painted bunting stopping by. And I least not forget the humming birds and American Gold finches! I have been see a mountain blue bird that I hope to get pics of soon.
Thank you Lord the beauty you put into our lives!
